Ernte-Hinweise:
  • Geerntet werden die röhrenförmigen Blätter der unterirdischen kleinen Zwiebeln, diese werden einfach ein Stück über der Erde abgeschnitten und treiben danach wieder aus 
  • Die lila Blüten können auch geerntet und verzehrt werden, der Stängel ist dann jedoch verholzt und nicht mehr genießbar

 

In Asien, Europa und Nordamerika gedeiht der Schnittlauch in den kaltgemässigten Zonen als Wildpflanze. Lange wurden er auf Feuchtwiesen, an Seeufern und Flussbänken eingesammelt und als Würzkraut und Arzneimittel angewandt.

  • the tubular leaves of the small underground bulbs are harvested, these are simply cut off a bit above the ground and sprout again afterwards
  • the purple flowers can also be harvested and eaten, but the stem is then woody and no longer edible
