In der Homöopathie wird Jacaranda bei eitriger Balanitis verwendet.  Der Extrakt aus Jacaranda mimosifolia wirkt gegen Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli und Staphylococcus aureus. 

In Australien verbindet ein Weihnachtslied die Blütezeit des Palisanderholzbaums… “When the bloom of the jacaranda tree is here, Christmas time is near.”

Hier auf den Kanaren ist der Baum eine der häufigsten und auffälligsten Zierbaumarten. Während seiner Blütezeit wirft der Baum die Blätter fast vollständig ab und zurückbleiben die Pastell-violetten Blüten. 

Da das Holz für die Innenausstattung von Edelkarosserien verwendet wird, ist diese Baumart Erhaltungszustand als gefährdet eingestuft.

Aquí en las Islas Canarias, el árbol es una de las especies de árboles ornamentales más comunes y conspicuas. Durante su periodo de floración, el árbol se desprende casi por completo de sus hojas, dejando atrás las flores de color púrpura pastel.

Como la madera se utiliza para el revestimiento interior de las carrocerías de los coches finos, el estado de conservación de esta especie arbórea está clasificado como en peligro de extinción.
