The roots remain. The spirit travels on. And the adventure continues.

Helmut and Roswitha Kollmann used to be travellers – always on the move, always on the quest for new places and stories. As antique dealers, their path took them through Europe and far beyond.

As their family grew, a new desire emerged: a place where they could settle down with their five children and fulfil their aspirations.

After a long search, they found a piece of dry, uncultivated land on Tenerife. Their vision was a small, self-sufficient family village: a green oasis for themselves, their children and, one day, their children’s children.

With their own hands, countless hours of hard work and a great amount of perseverance, things began to take shape. Where once there was dry earth, a green retreat emerged step by step – a finca full of life, tranquillity and stories.

As the children grew up and left the island, over the years the finca became a gathering place for travellers seeking to escape the daily hustle and noise and find a piece of nature, tranquillity and a sense of home far abroad.

For many years, Helmut and Roswitha opened their doors and shared their heart’s project with people from all over the world.

Today, their two youngest children are carrying on the dream – with respect for what has been built, and with new ideas.

“We are committed to treating nature as gently as possible.”

Reduced plastic waste

Each holiday home is equipped with a private drinking water filter and glass bottles. You can fill the bottles directly with fresh drinking water and avoid buying single-use plastic bottles.

Biodegradable Toiletries

Products such as hand soap, shampoo, etc. are biodegradable and can be refilled.
Thus, the greywater filtered through the three-chamber system can be reused to water the banana plants without the addition of harmful chemicals. Furthermore, this helps to reduce plastic waste from single-use bottles.

Renewable energy

Our solar panels provide a large proportion of the finca’s electricity needs, making it partially self-sufficient.

Organic farming

From the very beginning, we have farmed the land and fields of the finca exclusively using organic methods. When planting crops, we ensure that we rotate the fields regularly to give the soil sufficient time to regenerate. We also prioritise diversity over monoculture.

Local Produce

To support local farmers, you’ll find goat’s cheese, honey, bread, beer, wine and more from outside the finca in our farm shop. We also have a community cupboard where guests who are leaving can pass on any leftover produce to new guests to help reduce food waste.

Recycled materials

When building the houses, we focus on reusing old materials recovered from historic buildings undergoing demolition. Inside the accommodation, you’ll find antiques and many other lovely details from centuries past, which have been given a new life. We also use eco-friendly products when renovating and maintaining the houses.

Local community

It is important to us to involve the local community. The art in the houses is by local artists, and the excursions and activities we offer are run by local providers.

Sustainable Tourism

At the finca, sustainability is not just one aspect of our work, but a principle that shapes everyday life. From caring for the land to supporting the local community, our aim is to live and work responsibly while creating a place where sustainable practices come naturally.

The farmland is cultivated exclusively according to organic principles, with regular crop rotation and a focus on diversity rather than monoculture. This helps the soil regenerate, supports biodiversity and maintains a healthy natural balance.

Sustainability also guides the renovation and design of our houses. Reclaimed materials and antiques are given a new purpose, preserving their history and character. Eco-friendly products are used for renovation and maintenance.

We place great value on supporting the local community. Our farm shop offers products from nearby farmers and producers, while excursions and activities are organised with local providers. The houses also feature art by local artists, bringing a part of the region’s culture into the accommodation.

Resource conservation is part of everyday life. A community cupboard allows guests to pass on leftover food to those arriving after them, helping to reduce food waste. Biodegradable, refillable toiletries minimise single-use plastic, while filtered greywater is reused to irrigate the banana plants. Drinking water filters and reusable glass bottles further reduce plastic consumption.

For energy, the finca relies largely on its photovoltaic systems, making use of renewable solar power and reducing the need for conventionally generated electricity.

All these measures are part of a holistic approach to sustainability – one that values nature, resources, people and the local community. Here, sustainability is not simply a concept, but an integral part of everyday life.

A space for relaxation, activities and spending time together

There’s plenty to discover at our finca – for visitors of all ages. Numerous areas have been thoughtfully designed to encourage you to spend time together, get active or simply unwind.

Farm To Table & Farmshop

The fields are cultivated throughout the year with seasonal vegetables. Guests are free to pick their own produce here at any time of day or night. QR codes providing botanical information can be found in the fields and on the countless tropical fruit and ornamental trees. This allows adults and children alike to explore the finca in a fun and engaging way.
The farm shop, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and operates on a trust-based system, also stocks other produce from local farmers.

Freshen up with mountain spring water

Two swimming pools, beautifully set into the landscape and filled with fresh spring water from the mountains, invite you to swim, cool off and relax. No matter what time of year you visit us – here you’ll find your favourite spot in the sun or shade.

A paradise for small adventurers

Our youngest guests will also have a brilliant time. On the playground, a big treehouse, a climbing wall, a slide, a sandpit, swings and a mud kitchen are all waiting to be discovered. Various vehicles for children of all ages ensure lots of fun too.
If you’re looking for even more action, you’ll find a table football, a ping-pong table and a basketball hoop right nearby. This way, a typical day’s holiday can quickly turn into a low-key sports competition amongst friends or family.

Reading, playing and spending time together

Even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, there’s plenty to do at the finca. In our seminar room, you’ll find a cosy children’s play area, a library with a wide selection of books for all ages, and a cupboard full of board games. Whether it’s a cosy afternoon with a good book or a games evening with the whole family – there’s plenty of space here to spend time together.

Yoga with a spectacular view

A very special spot awaits you on our yoga lawn. With a breathtaking view over the finca, the valley and out to the ocean, it offers the perfect setting to find peace and recharge your batteries. On the wooden deck, you can meditate, practise yoga or simply pause and soak up the moment.

Exercise immersed in nature

Right next to the yoga field is our calisthenics park. Here you can continue your workout whilst enjoying the beautiful view over the countryside. Exercise just feels that little bit better when accompanied by sunshine, nature and a view of the sea.

Sauna overlooking the atlantic ocean

Once it’s time to switch off completely, our sauna awaits you. With its panoramic view over the Atlantic Ocean and the valley, a session in the sauna becomes a truly special experience. Let the warmth embrace you, take a deep breath and simply leave the last traces of everyday stress behind you.
